Fund-raising

Handicraft sale last year (22nd Oct... if I'm not mistaken!) during the Methodist Women Thanksgiving Nite at the Parsonage. This was my tiny way of chipping in to help raise funds for our new church building. Can you spot my etui box? ;-) Sigh! Wish for the thousandth time I had taken a close-up shot of it!

Friends patronizing the craft stall. You can see there's quite a variety of things on display. I enjoyed making the "Home Sweet Home" plaques and the patchwork cushion covers very much. Most of the crafts were taken up. The generosity of the ladies that night brought in a total of RM385.00 :-) Thank you, gals, and God bless all of you.

Sewing Box

I made this for our church's handicraft sale last year. No prizes for guessing what it was before the transformation! Look at the photo below for clues.

That's right, a mooncake box! These days, I go more for the container than the mooncakes. After all, all mooncakes taste more or less the same (at least to me). Since I pay an arm and a foot for them, might as well let the packaging decide for me which restaurant to patronize :-)

Christmas Diaries

Hmmmm..... Not bad! Hope our friends liked them as much as Deborah and I did. Well, they had better, considering the amount of love put in :-).

This was Deborah's idea - repackaging the diaries into personal Christmas gifts - but since I was at a lost for ideas, no harm "borrowing" from my daughter!

I always knew Deborah was creative (takes after the mummy mah!!!) but these diaries really turned out well beyond our expectations. Except for Doreen's, the rest were Deborah's handiwork. Each looked so sweet and whimsical that I had two more done, one for Amelia and the other for Linda.

Beauty without a name

This is one of the plants from my garden that bloomed a few weeks ago. Given to us by my sister-in-law, we have no idea what this climber is called. Anyone cares to enlighten?
