I Wish I Had A Big Red Umbrella

Of late, there have been so many of my loved ones (family members and dear friends) down with one health issue or another. I think nothing expresses my thoughts and feelings better than this article entitled:

I Wish I Had A Big Red Umbrella

I wish I had a big red umbrella that would keep all the rain out of your life. I would hold it over your head and the drops would splash, splash and you would never even feel them.

But I don't have a big red umbrella...so I'll walk through the rain with you.

God doesn't intend for us to go through our storms alone. We all need our "foul weather friends" who will venture out into the weather with us.

There are two questions we must answer to not only survive but thrive through life's storms; Who will walk through the rain with us? And will we let them?
Friends love through all kinds of weather. Proverbs 17:17 MSG.

Dear family and friends, rest assured you are remembered daily and I am praying for you all.

Upcycling is fun

Inspired by: The idea of re-purposing discarded jeans

Reflection: Using 2 pairs of jeans and left-over scraps from other projects, I was able to get a pair of cushion covers. I like how they turned out. The patchwork is done with the Disappearing 9-patch Square technique & I purposely chose different arrangements for the 2 covers.

Wedding keepsake

Inspired by : The bulletins left behind after a church wedding.

Reflection : Using the 3-D decoupage technique, I cut and layered the design. Then, I added the tiny ribbon roses, pearl trim, paper lace and wedding details before framing it into a pre-bought shadow box.
